Robert Wai Queen Lew, 86, a longtime resident of Framingham died Saturday January 11, 2020 following a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease. Born in Toishan, Canton, China, he was the 5th son of Kai Gong Lew & Gim Yee Fong.
Bob immigrated to the United States in 1957, and proudly served his new country in the Army Reserves. He was a graduate of Boston University with a double major in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, and worked for many years at GE and Digital Equipment Corp., later known as HP.
In his free time, Bob loved the outdoors and spent many hours hunting and fishing with his dog and sidekick, Tom Sawyer Jr. “June-June”.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife Judy “Mee” (Kwok) Lew of Framingham, his son, Arthur Anthony Lew & his wife Star of Newton, his grandsons, Brendan and Emerson, his brother Harry, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, James, Wai Foon and Gilbert.
Family and friends will honor and remember Robert’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Friday, January 17th from 3-6 P.M. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Bridget’s Church, 830 Worcester Rd. (Rt 9 E) on Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be private.
