Alma Y. Alonzo Cabrera, de 48 años, de Medway, antes de Ashland y Millis, murió el martes 10 de mayo de 2022 por la mañana después de una batalla contra el cáncer. Nacida en Metapan, El Salvador, es hija de Alfredo y Blanca Cabrera de El Salvador, y la amada esposa de Julio A. Alonzo de Medway.

Alma emigró a los EE. UU. hace 22 años, primero se instaló en Ashland y Millis y finalmente compró una casa en Medway. Su amor por los niños se muestra a través de su trabajo como asistente de maestros en el programa de inmersión en español en la Escuela Primaria Clyde F. Brown en Millis durante los últimos 20 años.

Amaba a los niños como si fueran suyos. Devota católica, a Alma le apasionaba servir a su comunidad, a Dios ya su familia. Era activa en la parroquia de St. Stephen, Framingham, y disfrutaba pasar tiempo con sus sobrinas y sobrinos tanto como fuera posible.

Además de su amado esposo Julio y sus padres, a Alma le sobrevive su orgullo y alegría, sus hijos, Jerry y Justin de Medway, sus hermanos, José, Keily y Luis Cabrera, su suegra, Ana Alonzo de CA, su hermano y cuñadas, Osmin, Mónica y Sonia, sus amadas sobrinas y sobrinos, Lucy, Mateo, Almita, Andrea, Sara, Valentina y Paola, sus tías, tíos, primos y familia extendida que fueron una parte tan importante de su vida.

La familia y los amigos honrarán y recordarán la vida de Alma reuniéndose para las horas de visita en McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham el domingo 15 de mayo de 2 a 6 p. m. Su Misa de funeral se celebrará en St. Stephen Church, 221 Concord St. Framingham el lunes por la mañana a las 10 en punto. El entierro seguirá en el cementerio de St. Stephen.

 

Alma Y. Alonzo Cabrera, 48, of Medway, formerly of Ashland and Millis, died Tuesday morning May 10, 2022 following a battle with cancer. Born in Metapan, El Salvador, she is the daughter of Alfredo & Blanca Cabrera of El Salvador, and the beloved wife of Julio A. Alonzo of Medway.

Alma immigrated to the U.S 22 years ago first settling in Ashland, and Millis, and eventually purchasing a home in Medway.  Her love of children shown through as a Teachers Assistant working with the Spanish Immersion program at the Clyde F. Brown Elementary School in Millis for the past 20 years. She loved the children as if they were her own.

A devout catholic, Alma was passionate about serving her Community, God, and her family.  She was active in St. Stephen Parish, Framingham, and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews as much as possible.

Besides her loving husband Julio, and her parents, Alma is survived by her pride and joy, her sons, Jerry and Justin of Medway, her siblings, Jose, Keily and Luis Cabrera, her mother in law, Ana Alonzo of CA, her brother and sisters in law, Osmin, Monica and Sonia, her beloved nieces and nephews, Lucy, Mateo, Almita, Andrea, Sara, Valentina, and Paola, her aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who were all such an important part of her life.

Family and friends will honor and remember Alma’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Sunday, May 15th from 2-6PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Stephen Church, 221 Concord St. Framingham on Monday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery.
